How pressure management saves water

With the population constantly growing, water shortage is becoming a huge problem. These days water and energy loss in the water sector is huge. One of the biggest reasons for that may be unexpected:  around 40% of global and 26% of European water is wasted in the water storage facilities - because of technical issues, water leakage, and incorrect water pressure. However, all of these problems can be tackled by implementing a proper water pressure management system.

The severe amount of wasted water is caused by technical errors: water leakage and improper water pressure. At the same time, 4% of all electricity is consumed by the water industry - this number is expected to double itself by the year 2040. The good news, that the technology needed to decrease energy consumption and leakage, is already available.

The experience of 10 different countries and 112 systems, shows that high-quality pressure control drastically decreases water and unnecessary energy consumption and costs. By improving pressure control, it decreases up to 38% and there are fewer technical errors by approximately 53%. Moreover, the lifetime of equipment is prolonged.
